Alexander McQueen's Last Collection

Hours ago, a select group of fashion editors viewed a presentation of the last ever collection from the late Alexander McQueen...
Sixteen exquisite outfits were paraded in an ornate Parisian salon, to assembled editors who were invited by appointment only to see the clothes.

The collection continued signature themes the designer had explored previously from royalty (scarlet robes) to religion (including a dress featuring angel wings on the back - reflected in the giant mirrors of the salon), the clothes displayed all the hallmarks of McQueen's couture-quality flights of fantasy - a gold coat is entirely constructed of gilded feathers.

Model Frida Gustavsson, who walked in the show, tweeted earlier "Feeling so blessed and honored to be a part of the alexander mcqueen presentations today, celebration of a true genius, so beautiful so sad."

The whole collection is so beautiful, all the details are so amazing, especially the Gilded pieces. And how cute are the angel wings on the backs of dresses? My favourite piece is probably the floor-length white gown (the last picture above) and the belted gold mini-dress.
