Zuzanna the Blueberry Dress

Ok, so I was browsing Brandalley today and I saw this dress...

Isn't it so preeeetty~?! It's by Cynthia Steffe, whom I've not heard of before. But I love this dress! And it's called Zuzanna, ok, I usually think it's weird to give dresses names, but look at it! It's so Preeetty! It's totally a Zuzanna with a Z for the leather trimming for the waist band and on the zips (because its badass, get it?... ok, nvm). Also the colour, it's not called the blueberry dress for nothing, the colour is so rich and deep, love it. I have no idea which season this is from, probably from a few years ago, it's being sold on Brandalley after all.

Me wants it!

I wonder how Zuzanna would look in my wardrobe...

LDN 2!

During the trip, I was trying to explore as many boutiques and vintage shops as i can. The outcomes of this was getting abit lost but on the bright side, I found shops that weren't known to my knowledge. woop! The vintage shops I found that were particularly good was Berty and Gerty in Camden, Wow Retro in Covent Garden. My fav however was Blackout II in Covent Garden, they had the most gorgeous collection of handbags! Vintage handbags are like my thing atm.
Covent Garden is differently my most fav shopping location in London now, there are too many boutiques to count and each one different to the next in a way that u can find amazing things in every one. It's definitely a must visit shopping site if you want unique pieces.

LDN!

I was in London last week on a rare visit. I came across this great shop by the label of JC de Castelbajac. I haven't heard of this label before but looking in the window, i immediately wanted to check it out. When I went in, i certainly wasn't disappointed... I didn't take pics inside the shop so I Googled some. I saw the cutest bag ever in there, it was in the shape of a treasure chest. I wanti! The label has fantastic cartoon prints all in brighter than bright colours. It's a great label for those who love their inner child. I am in Love with the new pirate/nautical collection and just in general with Mr Castelbajac's imagination.

Alexander McQueen's Last Collection

Hours ago, a select group of fashion editors viewed a presentation of the last ever collection from the late Alexander McQueen...
Sixteen exquisite outfits were paraded in an ornate Parisian salon, to assembled editors who were invited by appointment only to see the clothes.

The collection continued signature themes the designer had explored previously from royalty (scarlet robes) to religion (including a dress featuring angel wings on the back - reflected in the giant mirrors of the salon), the clothes displayed all the hallmarks of McQueen's couture-quality flights of fantasy - a gold coat is entirely constructed of gilded feathers.

Model Frida Gustavsson, who walked in the show, tweeted earlier "Feeling so blessed and honored to be a part of the alexander mcqueen presentations today, celebration of a true genius, so beautiful so sad."

The whole collection is so beautiful, all the details are so amazing, especially the Gilded pieces. And how cute are the angel wings on the backs of dresses? My favourite piece is probably the floor-length white gown (the last picture above) and the belted gold mini-dress.

Trains at the Oscars!

Yes! It's that time of the year again!! *Drum roll* It's the Oscars!
The Oscars is more than just about celebrating the best films in the last year, it's the night stars parade in beautiful clothes that makes them shine like the Oscars trophy.

This year was no exception, actresses du jour showed up in amazing gowns flaunting their beautiful selves. There was a running theme of 'romantic' with actresses choosing floor-length dresses with trains, ruffles and lace, working the classic Hollywood look. Shoulders were kept bare with minimum decoration. Hair was styled into neat up-dos that revealed their fresh makeup faces. And all this put together? Timeless Hollywood glamour.

(L-R: Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Haute Couture; 'Avatar' star Zoe Saldana in Givenchy)
(L-R: Charlize Theron in Dior; Elisabeth Banks in Versace)
(L-R: Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta; Jennifer Lopez in Armani Privé)
(L-R: Dianne Kruger in Chanel; Penelope Cruz in Donna Karan Couture)
(L-R: Demi Moore in Atelier Versace; Amanda Seyfried in Armani Privé)
(L-R: Sandra Bullock in Marchesa; Sarah Jessica Parker in Chanel Haute Couture)

All eyes were on Sandra Bullock on the night as she won Best Actress, she also looked glowing in that Marchesa gown (literally!). But I LOVE Cameron Diaz's dress, it's so beautiful, and she looks amazing in it! Anna Kendrick and Zoe Saldana's gown definitely brings some colour to the Oscars as well as being on the Romantic trend. lol J-Lo's dress..hmm..all that extra material hanging off from her hip, it could be made into another dress. XD
Which gowns were your favourite?
